PHY 106 - Physics of Sailing
Application of physics principles to sailing. Topics include kinematics, vectors, Newtonian mechanics, and fluid mechanics. Basic keelboat sailing is taught in the laboratory component, leading to American Sailing Association, ASA101, certification. Three lecture and two laboratory hours each week. Fee required.
