PBH 395 - Health Promotion Practice
This course will examine various settings where health education and promotion efforts may be delivered, including: community based organizations, governmental public health agencies, schools, worksites, and higher education campuses. Students will be exposed to a variety of topics that are commonly addressed in these settings, including (but not limited to): drug and alcohol education, nutrition, injury and violence prevention, chronic disease prevention and management, relationship and sexual health, and emotional health and wellbeing. The course will emphasize ethical practices and inclusivity in the practical application and delivery of professional health education and promotion efforts.
