EGN 430 - Coastal Structures |
This course will examine the functional design of coastal structures distinguishing between groins, jetties, seawalls, breakwaters, revetments and bulkheads. Hydraulic design and structural stability as a result of breaking and non-breaking wave loading will be covered. In addition, students will examine the materials used and cost implications of coastal structures.
