EDN 501 - Budget and Finance for Early Childhood Programs
This course will cover the development and management of program budgets, resource identification and resource development for both for-profits and not-for-profit organizations serving young children and their families. Budget forecasting, strategic planning, and capital development will be covered. Students will learn how to identify and write grants for additional funding, how to manage charitable donations, and establish fiscal responsibility processes for the organization. Students will design tools to evaluate early childhood programs for funding, expansion, or termination.
