A supervised practicum experience working with children and/or their families in a school or community setting. Designed for students who are completing a degree in education without earning licensure, this practicum promotes integration of the knowledge, skills, and dispositions required to be an effective educator. The practicum placement is selected to be consistent with the student’s career goals. Placement and field hours must be approved by the instructor. This course does not fulfill the requirements for North Carolina teacher licensure.
