MAT 418 - Partial Differential Equations I
A thorough treatment of the solution of initial and boundary value problems of partial differential equations in one, two, and three dimensions. Topics include classification of partial differential equations, the method of characteristics, separation of variables, Fourier series, special functions, Sturm-Liouville theory, and some numerical methods.
