GRN 525 - Health and Aging
An introduction to a bio-psycho-social view of health characteristics of the aging population. Topics covered include biological changes of various body systems, role of lifestyle and demographic factors in late life health outcomes, theories of aging such as wear-and-tear and the life course perspective, social determinants of health, psychological issues related to health, assessments and related advocacy initiatives.
