Physical and quantitative methods in chemistry is an introductory course that surveys important physical and quantitative tools used in chemistry. Quantitative physical and mathematical methods are absolutely necessary to explore important concepts in chemistry. This course aims to teach chemistry majors how to apply the available physical and quantitative tools to chemistry using examples and problems from various areas in chemistry, such as physical, biological and analytical chemistry. The course starts from a review of basic calculus and then covers more advanced topics.
