EGN 330 - Coastal Wave Mechanics |
This course will examine the mechanics of water wave motion using linear and non-linear wave theories. Wave generation, forecasting and measurement will be examined. In addition, the course will cover wave propagation and transformation from offshore to nearshore where waves interact with the bottom causing shoaling, breaking and initiating sediment movement.
