(F2F) Pre- or co-requisite: FST 201; or pre-requisite: PCRW, PFST, FST, CRW, and CRW 207, CRW 208, or CRW 209 Cross list with CRW 318-001 This course introduces students to the basic elements of screenwriting format, technique and narrative style. The class twice each week: once for lecture, once for workshop/lab. Students will write multiple drafts of a short film screenplay. Weekly writing assignments will help students address various narrative elements (character, structure, format, transitions, scenes, dialogue, etc.) and aid in the development of their script.
