Students will gain real-world experience while producing, programming and hosting the VISIONS Film Festival and Film Scholars Conference which celebrates the work of undergraduate filmmakers from around the world. This class will introduce students to the producing and programming process of a film festival and conference. Students will: create festival/conference policy and protocol, based upon research of different existing models; write, design and promote calls for both production and critical studies entries; solicit and jury films and abstracts from peers throughout the world; network with university film programs internationally; design press materials and promote and market the final event. All students are to complete course content online synchronously.
