This course will provide students a comprehensive overview and knowledge of processes and techniques used by recreation therapists to establish and maintain effective therapeutic helping relationships. Theories specific to the helping process, facilitation skills, leadership styles, group dynamics, activity and task analysis, modifications and assistive devices will be covered.
