Introduction to applied use of rock and mineral samples, maps, and models in geology. Topics include plate tectonics, mineral and rock identification and resources, geologic time, mountain building, earthquakes, volcanoes, river processes and flooding, groundwater, coastal processes and storms, energy, and climate change.
