An introduction to programming in a high-level language. Algorithms, computer systems, data representation, survey of computer applications, elementary programming techniques, debugging and verification of programs. The language to be used will be specified in the schedule of classes. May be repeated once under a different subtitle. Recommended primarily for non computer science majors.
