NSG 403 - Adult Health II
Introduces advanced concepts of nursing essential to the role of the professional nurse when caring for adult clients with complex health problems. Course content will include measures to maintain and support the health status related to the pathophysiology of selected diseases and changes in function. Emphasis will be placed on the relationship between the nursing process and client centered care, clinical reasoning, and integrity of practice applied to acute and chronic conditions. Adopted theories from physiology, psychology, sociology and nursing will be related to client centered care and quality improvement. Application of concepts and essential psychomotor skills are demonstrated in clinical experiences using advanced technology and working with clients in selected clinical agencies.
